America and Freedom are the cutest siblings! America is absolutely striking, and has the sweetest personality. She will literally launch into your lap and fall asleep. We just love this girl! Freedom is super sweet too, and is such a character. :)

New photos of Pepper's sweet trio!

Some new photos of Pepper's babies. Owl, who is in the first three photos, always looks grumpy with those markings! LOL. He's such a sweet boy, and just so photogenic! His sisters are such sweethearts as well. Owl may be available as a wether. Also TBD if he's polled or not (he has that polled egg head, but not 100% sure on him!). Gooseberry and Honey are both polled and are retained for now.

Check out that face! Someone's not too amused with his photoshoot!

Update on Pepper's kids...

7/12/2021

Update on babies. Sadly we had to put down little Grace this morning. Our vet suspected an underlying issue/brain injury en utero as she was born with a very weird red eye and progressively got worse, ending with nonstop seizures. I held her all night, and we pulled out all the stops both natural and conventional, but couldn't save her. Absolutely heartbreaking situation, and we really appreciate all the prayers. She was buried this morning next to Grasshopper. They are now in Heaven with their Maker.

Pepper's other three kids are doing well and are thriving. Attaching updated photos. Thanks so much for your patience in us getting back to questions, etc. Our kidding season has now ended and we are pretty exhausted. ;-)

New arrivals! Pepper's kids!

Pepper had quints (yes, 5!) this morning. A very eventful birth and we have been out in the barn all day. We are pretty tired to say the least! LOL. Sadly, one was DOA and very underdeveloped. Another is currently in the house and we are trying to get her to take the bottle, but she is extremely weak and is not doing great. Prayers would be very appreciated. The other three babies (2 does & 1 buck) are doing great, and are nursing like champs. Pepper is an amazing mom, like always! All four babies look to be polled & blue eyed but not sure yet. Will get better pics soon. Pepper was our last doe to kid so we are done with 2021 kidding season!

Pie's adorable twins...

7/10/2021

7-10-21: How sweet are Pie's kids?! They are getting to be so big and are already twice the size of Faith's kids (the difference between twins and quads! LOL). Freedom is absolutely striking - he actually has silver eyelashes, and the roaning around his eyes looks like he has white eyeliner! America is also so beautiful. We are pretty sure we are retaining her, but won't be 100% until Pepper has her babies. Speaking of which, we are still waiting on her to kid and she is two days past her due date. Her ligaments are almost gone though, so it'll be soon! Praying for healthy babies and a smooth delivery!!

7-6-21: Pie kidded with perfect twins in the wee hours of this morning. One doe and one buck. The buckling is polled & blue eyed and is STURDY - about 5.5lbs but Pie had no problem pushing him out! LOL. The doeling is a beautiful chocolate w/ excessive white and is also blue eyed. Both have roaning. The boy's name is Freedom and the girl's name is Sweet Meadows American Pie "America". Both are absolutely beautiful and Pie is a wonderful mama.

Huckleberry and Acorn are just the sweetest boys!! They share a brotherly love and are always glued to each other's side. They are growing so fast - Huckleberry is catching up in size to his brother!  Both boys have the sweetest personalities and literally won't get off your lap! They will follow you everywhere and act like puppies.

Updated photos of Faith's kids. They are just the sweetest, and are too cute! Firefly is definitely polled and is retained. She is absolutely gorgeous! Such a mini me of her mama Faith. The two boys, Cricket and Peepers are so spunky already and will constantly paw you. How adorable is this trio?!

Faith's Kids Have Arrived!

7/3/2021

7-2: Faith's kids arrived tonight around 8pm! QUADS - 3 bucks and 1 doe! Mom and babies are doing really well, nursing, and Faith is a wonderful first time mama!!

7-3 UPDATE: Just wanted to post an update on the kids, and also that we have sad news that one of Faith's bucklings, Grasshopper, didn't make it last night. He was the smallest, but nursing like a champ and doing well so not sure what happened. He is running with the angels in Heaven now. It's been a tough day with a burial and all. Faith is doing ok, but was very visibly upset this morning. The other three siblings are doing well and we wanted to share a few photos of them. Their names are Firefly (doe who is blue-eyed and possibly polled buckskin), Peepers (polled and blue-eyed buckskin) and Cricket (buckskin with excessive white). A lot of buckskins this year (8 of 9), and also a very heavy buck year with 3 does and 6 bucks! LOL.
