We couldn’t be more happy with our small herd of little goaties from Sweet Meadows Farm :-) Such a wonderful farm and family, who absolutely love their goats. Very healthy, clean, and well taken care of. My three doelings (Ruth, America, Firefly) and two wethers (Acorn, Freedom) transitioned so well to us. Immediately loved being cuddled and still do! I could tell they were handled a lot and loved so dearly. They are such beautiful little sweethearts that are full of so much personality! When I was looking to get back into goats again, I was searching for someone who took a natural, holistic approach to raising goats and was so happy to have found Valerie and Hannah. Valerie was so caring and supportive to me and my family through it all. So blessed with a wonderful, fun-filled group of goats! Angel M. & family, NH

We started our mini-goat journey with Valerie's farm. Our three wethers are very sweet and docile. Their temperaments are exactly what we were looking for. When I went to visit them, it was so obvious that they were well treated and that they were part of the family. They had been handled a lot, and so they like to be held and hand-fed. There was no doubt in my mind that this was a great farm, and that the goats had the very best start in life. Valerie and Hannah prepared all of the documents and instructions we needed, recommended a great veterinarian in the area, and started us off in the right direction with mineral and hay recommendations. Our goats continue to be happy and healthy! We'd been thinking about getting some for years, and have absolutely zero regrets. We may even get a few more! Lynne M. & family, VT

"We had the best experience buying our goats from Sweet Meadows Farm. Being totally new to goat care and ownership, Valerie was so helpful in answering all of our questions and allowing us to visit multiple times. In the year since we brought them home, she's continued to be a resource to us when we have questions. Our goats are healthy and strong and friendly dispositions, thanks to the care they received from their start on the farm." Lynn W & family, VT

"Sweet Meadows Farm is where we purchased our very first goats. Naturally, we were excited but nervous. Valerie answered all of our questions honestly and promptly via email when we first inquired. She made sure we would be a safe and fitting home for her goats, which is a must in responsible goat breeding! Before any kids were born, she invited us to her amazing little farm to meet the goats. All of her goats were so sweet and very friendly. It was clear to see how much time she spends with them and how very loved they are! Valerie answered all of our questions while we were there, and we had many! She is a wealth of information and I especially appreciate her knowledge in the area of homeopathy. This summer will be a full year as goat owners for our family. Our two kids from Sweet Meadows have been healthy, happy, sweet, and friendly. They bring us such joy! Valerie continues to be available for any questions we have on our goat raising journey. I'm so grateful for Sweet Meadows Farm! We are very happy goat owners!" Kara M. & family, NY

"I live on a small farm in the Adirondacks where we raise beef cows, chickens and hogs. I was looking for a pet that wasn't a cat or dog. I had thought about goats, but knew nothing about raising them. As I began looking into various breeds and uses of goats, my priorities became to find pet quality animals that were kindly raised. After some research, I found what I was looking for and more! When I first contacted Valerie at Sweet Meadows Farm, she encouraged me to come visit her farm and meet her herd before making any commitment or decisions. I felt very welcomed and was impressed by how much time she took with me to show me aorund and give me information about her animals. During that first visit I also met her very capable and resourceful manager, who also happens to be her teenage daughter. I was indeed sold on that first visit - not only by how endearing those little kids were - but also by Valerie's extremely caring and competent animal husbandry. I knew if I were to begin raising these animals I would not only have healthy sound animals I would also be getting her support and expert guidance long after I drove down the road with my new pets. One year later, I can't express how much joy and fun these animals have brought to our farm and all who encounter these sweet playful kids - I am currently training them to hike with us! They are paper carrying registered dairy animals and I have yet to decide whether or not we might breed them, for now we are still getting to know them, but I know if I do decide to get into breeding, I have Valerie to help me with any questions or concerns.
Signed, We LOVE our three goats in the ADKs." |

"We purchased our goats from Valerie at Sweet Meadow Farms roughly a year ago and could not be more pleased. Fern, Flora, Star and Lucy were a perfect match for our family, our needs and our level of expertise. To this day Valerie has made herself available to answer our questions and provide expert advice whenever needed. And the goats she provided us with were healthy, well adjusted and a perfect psychological mix to balance out the herd and minimize conflicts. We would highly recommend Valerie and Sweet Meadow Farms to everyone who is interested in healthy, well-adjusted goats. JF & family, VT
