The Missing Link: Diet
Picture
The recommended American diet is unhealthy. The food pyramid sets the perfect stage for cancer growth - heavy amounts of carbohydrates via grains, starches, fruits and vegetables, with fats and protein on the low end. It's an upside down version of what our ancestral diet was.  Before the introduction of boxed, processed foods, hydrogenated oils and refined sugars, human diets were very heavy on animal fats (such as lard), animal protein, light seasonal vegetables, raw dairy, fermented foods and if there were any grains it was in the form of stone ground fermented sourdough - properly prepared for digestion and nutrient absorption. Before the introduction of these processed foods and sugars into these groups of people, cancers, mental illness, and autoimmune diseases were rare to nonexistent. After they were introduced, diseases and widespread tooth decay shortly followed. Dr. Weston Price conducted many studies on various indigenous groups from around the world. More information on his work can be found at The Weston A. Price Foundation. www.westonaprice.org.

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy
Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?
You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

Our bodies have a tremendous ability to heal themselves. God is the Great Physician and He designed every body.  It is perfect given proper care and nutrition.

Gaining access to healthier food to support a strong immune system is easier now with farmer's markets and also with more and more local organic farms that are popping up everywhere as folks move back to a more sustainable, simpler kind of life. Supporting those farms helps our local farmers and helps save the planet as well.

It's simple.
You are what you put into your body.

Then God said, “Look! I have given you
every seed-bearing plant throughout the earth and all the fruit trees for your food.

Genesis 1:29
