Kyeema Ridge Mandolin Wind & Clear Brook Guys Dotti $1300 as a pair ($800 Maple & $500 Kitty)
We have two does up for discussion. They are Kyeema Ridge Mandolin Wind (Maple) and Clear Brook Guys Dotti (Kitty). Both are lovely does with fantastic FF udders. Maple is currently in milk, but we are working on drying her off. She has a very nice udder with great capacity and attachments. Her teats are on the smaller side but she has nice orifices and is easy to milk. She is GREAT on the milking stand and will literally stand in a trance while you milk her. Kitty is currently not in milk (last kidded in 2019) but had a great udder with very large teats. Both Maple and Kitty are extremely sweet does. Maple is VERY social (bottle kid) and can be very mischievous. She will climb in your lap and lick your face. She is more petite, standing at about 17". Kitty is more reserved, not very in your pocket, but is easy to handle and loves head rubs. She will come to you for pets (and treats of course!). Both are disbudded.
We have not had these two girls very long, and are always 100% upfront about any issues with goats that we sell. We rarely bring in new does and when we do, they are always under evaluation once they arrive. We keep a very small herd, and overall balance is very important to us. Personality and temperament is equally as important as lines, conformation, etc. Kitty is very sweet, but she gets very picked on (by everyone) and is at the bottom of the herd. She is a very meek doe, more on the petite side but carries wide. Maple is just the friendliest doe, but honestly she is a lot to handle. She is super energetic, very in your face, and generally obnoxious. We have felt very torn because she is gorgeous, has great lines and is such a sweetheart - but she frankly drives us nuts and we aren't a fan of the typical bottle kid behavior. We are used to the more gentle, dam raised goats. LOL. We think she would do great with a family with younger children as they would probably just love her social butterfly personality. Kitty is very sweet and gentle and would also do great with kids.
Both girls have fantastic lines - Kitty is out of Fairlea and Dawnland lines, and Maple is out of Woodbridge, Olson Acres and Alebar lines. Kitty is AGS registered and Maple is ADGA registered. However, we are still waiting for Maple's paperwork to come back. ADGA has been very slow with that lately and it has been a pain! LOL.
