Looks like Maggie, Lucy and Pepper all sailed through their 21 day heat cycles with no signs (or singing from Lucy!), so hopefully all three are pregnant! We are waiting until this Friday to see about Sugar and Fern with cycles, so fingers crossed!  And although it is early, I could swear that both Lucy and Maggie are already puffing out a bit! :-)  Wishful thinking I suppose!!  We may do ultrasounds with our vet to confirm breedings.

We are loving the warmer weather these past few days, and really enjoyed having some family in town over the weekend. My nephew Carson helped with the farm chores, and gave the hens some sunflower seeds, collected eggs, filled the buckets for the goats with Chaffhaye, and more! He was a great help and a natural farm boy! :-))

Well, all the girls that we planned to breed this year have been  (hopefully!) bred now.  We will be watching them closely at this point to see if they are indeed bred! This photo was taken at Willow Moon Farm on Friday when Fern was bred.  We drive her all the way down there, only to get back home and see that Sugar was suddenly in standing heat too!  And so, we drove all the way back down to Plainfield. Go figure! Hopefully, it was worth the trip and the standing in 8 degree weather for both Sharon and myself!  LOL.  We will see! :-)

45 degrees?  What is going on?  And it is supposed to be 15 degrees tomorrow for the high!  Only in Vermont!  The goat gals were so happy to skip and dance around outside as soon as the doors opened this morning!
