4 of 5!

Well, our wonderful vet Alison came out this morning to do an ultrasound on our does this morning and to confirm pregnancies.  I guess 4 out of 5 isn't bad, as we are bummed that Fern turned out to not be preggo after all!  We really thought she was because she is the loudest "singer" of all of them when she is in heat, and there was definitely no signs of a heat this last cycle!  She tricked us I guess! LOL. Anyway, here is what we did find with the others with the ultrasound. A minimum of seven kids are expected!  This is just what Alison could SEE, so there could be more.  We really thought Maggie had multiple kids, and she still may. When we did an ultrasound, her kid was the most developed and biggest, so there could be another one hiding in there as it was challenging to see.

Maggie - single (at least)
Sugar - twins (at least)
Lucy - triplets! (single + twins)
Pepper - single (likely)

I guess it was not meant to be with Fern this year, and that is fine as she is young and I generally wait longer to breed them the first time. We will wait another year to breed her, Charlotte, and Adele. ;-)
